The Gordoa family was prominent in San Luis Potosí in Mexico. Their interests intersected with nearly all of that country’s dominant socio-political and economic concerns during the nineteenth-century.

Published in collaboration with Tulane University’s Latin American Library, this collection of the family’s papers provides insight into the important business and economic questions of the time, through the perspective of the Gordoa family’s considerable holdings in both agriculture and mining.
