Titles from Nature Publishing Group Join ProQuest's Growing STM Content Pool
ANN ARBOR, Mich., September 6, 2005 -- ProQuest Information and Learning has been chosen by Nature Publishing Group (NPG) to be an online distributor of more than 50 of its acclaimed biological, medical and physical science periodicals. Nature Publishing Group is publisher of many important titles, including Gene Therapy, British Journal of Cancer, Nature Reviews, and its flagship title Nature. ProQuest Information and Learning is an electronic publisher of content for libraries and educational institutions worldwide.

"We've long admired Nature Publishing Group for its market-leading content," said Roger Tritton, ProQuest senior publisher.  “We’re proud to provide a new channel for libraries and their patrons to access these important journals.”

The agreement with NPG is part of ProQuest's ongoing strategy to expand its STM content pool with highly respected and authoritative titles.  The content from NPG will be available beginning in October 2005 through a variety of ProQuest's science and medical databases, including its popular ProQuest Health and Medical CompleteTM.  Backfiles of Nature will be available from 1990, and current content will be available 12 months after original publication.

ProQuest is renowned for its vast, accessible journal, newspaper and periodical databases.  Continually expanding, ProQuest databases grew by more than 1,000 new newspapers and journals in 2004.  Well over 16,000 periodicals are now available through its products and more than 8,000 are full text.
