According to Rod Gauvin, senior vice president of the ProQuest Division of ProQuest Information and Learning, "The agreement brings content never before available in electronic databases to the ProQuest® online information service. As we continue to enhance the quality and depth of our databases, we particularly relish the opportunity to bring new content of this high caliber to library users."
Preeminent business titles to be added to ABI/INFORM include: Journal of the Operational Research Society (cited in both Journal Citation Reporter and literature surveys as one of the critical operations research titles worldwide), Asian Business & Management, and European Journal of Information Systems.
Social sciences titles to be added to various ProQuest databases include: Feminist Review, Information Visualization, International Journal of Maritime Economics, Urban Design International, Comparative European Politics, and the forthcoming Contemporary Political Theory, French Politics, and Latino Studies.
The agreement is effective immediately.
ProQuest has carried indexing for Journal of the Operational Research Society (from June 1971), European Journal of Information Systems (from January 1993), and Feminist Review (from 1991). The addition of full text will greatly enhance users’ access to information. Retrospective full-text coverage for selected journals will be available in the coming months.
Current coverage -- including both quality indexing and full text for the titles -- will appear in such ProQuest® databases as ABI/INFORM®, ProQuest Research LibraryTM, ProQuest DiscoveryTM, and ProQuest 5000TM in the coming months.
ProQuest customers can sign up for specialized email content notification at: http://www.proquest.com/proquest/em-notecontent.shtml to receive notice when new content is added.
