Sue Lewis, vice president and publisher, professional & trade periodicals, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., said, "By delivering the BoldIdeas Collection through ProQuest, we are exploring new ways of meeting the online access and information needs of our secondary markets. ABI/INFORM is a premier business file, and this is another step in ensuring that our must-have content reaches the business communities who will benefit from it most."
Joe Reynolds, president and CEO of ProQuest Information and Learning, said, "We are continually seeking additional premium content for ABI/INFORM and our other electronic databases. This agreement represents our commitment to continually improve products and enhance content. Wiley's business content is unsurpassed. In fact, 21 of the 40 titles are already indexed in ABI/INFORM and have been for years.
"No other aggregator reaches the top US and international researchers to the level that ProQuest does with ABI/INFORM with its nearly complete penetration of the top business libraries worldwide," continued Reynolds. "We are delighted to work with Wiley and bring their full-text content to a new audience."
Both indexing and full text for the titles will appear in ABI/INFORM GlobalTM and ProQuest 5000TM. Titles include Thunderbird International Business Review, Leader to Leader, Strategic Management, Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance, Human Resource Management, and many more. ProQuest will load three years worth of content for all titles to be accessible in the current file. In addition, backfiles for 11 titles will be included in ABI/INFORM ArchiveTM, a retrospective image file of business journals.
The agreement becomes effective immediately. ProQuest customers can expect to see the additional 40 titles in the coming months, and can sign up for the ProQuest specialized email notification lists at: http://www.proquest.com/proquest/em-notecontent.shtml to receive notification when the new content is added.
