ProQuest Adds 17 MediaNews Group Newspapers
Agreement Enhances ProQuest's Online Newspaper Product with Strong Local Titles Divided line

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 8, 2005 - ProQuest Information and Learning has signed an agreement to distribute 17 MediaNews Group newspapers through ProQuest's award-winning online interface. These newspapers, significantly expand the local news content available through ProQuest. MediaNews Group is a Denver-based owner and operator of daily newspapers throughout the U.S. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, is an electronic publisher of content for classrooms, libraries and educational institutions worldwide.

The new agreement covers newspapers in California, Pennsylvania, and New England, including the Long Beach (CA) Press-Telegram, Pasadena (CA) Star-News, San Bernardino (CA) Sun,Lebanon (PA) Daily News, Lowell (MA) Sun, Bennington (VT) Banner and Bridgeport Connecticut Post. Each of the newspapers has a strong local news focus.

Providing more local content is part of ProQuest strategy to create a total newspaper solution for libraries.
