John Taylor is Vice President Technology and General Manager, Cambridge Operations for ProQuest. Based in the United Kingdom, Taylor is General Manager of the Cambridge operation, which publishes and develops the Chadwyck -Healey range of Online products. Taylor is also directly responsible for all software and product development activities for ProQuest in the Cambridge, Toronto, and Ann Arbor operations.

The scope of Taylor's role includes responsibilties for Software Engineering, Product Design, Project management, Quality Assurance, and Online Operations and Information Technology.

Taylor joined the organization as Vice President of Technology and Development in 1999 on the acquisition of Chadwyck-Healey.   Taylor held the roles of Director and Vice President of Technology for Chadwyck-Healey Publishing for five years, and was instrumental in transforming Chadwyck-Healey into an industry leading Online Information company specializing in the Social Sciences and Humanities.

Taylor's career in technology and product development includes three years in technology consulting, research, and development and management with Cambridge-based technology companies working in the Telecommunications and Finance industries. Taylor also spent six years in various software engineering and product development roles with Unisys Corporation in the United Kingdom and North America.

Taylor has an Honours Degree in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde.
